Firmware Upgrade Instructions

1. Preparation: Download the latest firmware from the official website. The firmware file name format is: kvf_x.xx_xxxx.pack, for example: kvf_1.00_0300.pack. Copy the firmware file to the root folder of a FAT/FAT32/exFAT USB disk. Insert the USB disk with a USB-C connector into the USB-C socket of the powered-on viewfinder.

2. Update: Navigate to [Menu–>Settings–>Frimware Update], confirm the update, and wait for 3-5 minutes. When the [Update Progress] reaches 100%, the system will automatically restart.

3. Finish: After the system automatically restarts, you can remove the USB disk, and the new firmware will be ready for use.

Notice

1. Confirm Current Firmware Version: Before upgrading to the latest firmware, verify your current version. If it’s earlier than kvf_1.01_0324, you must first install the kvf_1.01_0324 update as an intermediate step. After the system reboots, proceed with the latest firmware update.

2. Do Not take any other operation and never lose power firmware update, else it may lead to failure of the update, and the viewfinder has to be sent to Kinefinity for repair.

3. You should only keep 1 viewfinder firmware file on the USB disk at a time. Having multiple firmware files could potentially cause failure of the upgrade.
